A few days later, I received a call from the young woman saying that my scarf was ready. She asked if I could come pick it up at her house that day. I said yes, and we set a time for me to arrive.
When I arrived at the young woman's house, she greeted me with a smile and led me into her living room. She handed me the beautiful scarf she had promised me, but then she said, "There's just one more thing." She reached into her pocket and handed me a small bottle of liquid. As I walked back to my car, I felt uneasy about the whole experience. I knew that I had been scammed, but I also knew that it was my fault for being so trusting.
