"What's going on?" thought Blanket. "I must be dreaming."
But he wasn't dreaming. The rug really had transformed into a blanket, and it was waiting for him to curl up on it. Blanket's heart full of joy, he immediately jumped onto the blanket and sank into its softness. It was the most comfortable thing he had ever slept on, and he knew that from that night on, he would never sleep on anything else.
Days passed, and Blanket enjoyed his newfound luxury. The blanket rug was always there for him, ready to curl up on after a hard day's work. But he noticed something strange: the blanket rug never got dirty or worn out, no matter how often he used it. It was always as soft and warm as the first day he found it.
"This is amazing!" thought Blanket. "I wish I knew how to make more of these so I could share them with all the cats in town."
But he didn't know how to make more blankets, so he settled for sharing what he had. And thus, Blanket became the most popular cat in town. Every cat knew him, and every cat wanted to be friends with him because of his wonderful blanket rug.
One day, a stranger came to town. He was a tall, thin man with a long beard and a strange hat. He claimed to be a magician, and he said he could make any wish come true. Of course, the cats of the town were skeptical, but they decided to test him out just the same.
The magician took one look at Blanket's blanket rug and laughed.
"This is nothing," he said. "I can make a hundred of these in an hour."
And with that, he reached into his bag and pulled out a whole stack of blankets, all different colors and patterns. The cats were amazed, and they immediately thanked the magician for his generosity.
From that day on, the cats of the town never wanted for anything again. They had all the blankets they could ever need, thanks to Blanket and the magician. And so, the story of the Blanket Cat became a legend in the town, passing from generation to generation as an example of friendship, generosity, and kindness.
