As Lily made her way towards the tree, she noticed an older woman sitting under it, wrapped in a thick blanket. The woman looked up at Lily with a tired smile and said, "Here, take this." She handed Lily a small, cool towel. "It's all mine, but I don't need it anymore. You look like you could use it more than me."
Lily took the towel and wrapped it around her neck. It was cool and refreshing, and it felt like a ray of hope in the middle of the heatwave. She looked at the woman and said, "Thank you. This means a lot to me."
The woman smiled and said, "I'm glad I could help. Here, have some of my water too. It's in the bag next to me."
Lily took the bottle of water and drank deeply. She felt stronger and more refreshed after taking a few sips. She looked at the woman and said, "You don't know how much this means to me. I've been walking for ages, and I was feeling hopeless. But you've given me back my strength."
The woman smiled and said, "I'm glad I could do that. Now, why don't you sit down and rest for a while? You look like you could use it."
Lily sat down next to the woman and wrapped the towel around her neck again. She closed her eyes and felt the coolness spread through her body. She thought about how lucky she was to have met this kind woman, and she promised herself that she would pay it forward whenever she could.
After a while, Lily opened her eyes and looked at the woman. She said, "I feel much better now. Thank you so much for your help."
The woman smiled and said, "I'm glad to hear that. Now, why don't you take the towel with you? I don't need it anymore, and I know you do."
Lily took the towel and put it in her bag. She said, "Thank you for everything. This has been a great help to me."
The woman smiled and said, "You're welcome. Take care now, and don't forget to help others whenever you can."
Lily promised that she would, and then she stood up and walked away. She looked back one last time and saw the woman sitting under the tree, a smile on her face as she watched Lily walk away.
